Education is an integral part of the offender's reintegration into society. The department was one of the first probation agencies to establish an in-house Education Services program. The program combines self-paced learning, one-to-one assistance, and computer-aided programming to teach literacy skills, basic education, GED and ESOL. The program has an active volunteer force and is continually welcoming new volunteers to assist the students and instructors.
