The Superior Court is committed to protecting the rights and welfare of all Pima County citizens. Thus, the Court continues to hear urgent and essential matters and provide critical services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To help protect against the spread of COVID-19, the Court and its offices are performing mandatory wellness screenings of everyone entering its buildings using touchless thermometers. Anyone who registers a temperature above 100.4 F (38 C) will not be permitted inside a court building.

Additionally, the Court now requires that all visitors use face coverings. These may be made of fabric or another permeable material that covers the nose and mouth, including bandanas. Face coverings should not completely conceal your identity, so ski masks and similar coverings are not allowed.

Many non-essential court hearings are being rescheduled, and other hearings are being held through telephonic or video means, so please check the status of your case before you travel to the courthouse

Also, to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 and safeguard the health of everyone, please do not visit the courthouse if you are ill. Instead, contact your attorney or the Division hearing your matter to reschedule your court appearance.

If you do need to stop by, the Court wants you to know the measures it has taken to keep you safe and healthy.

These include: deep-cleaning and disinfecting main public areas and courtrooms, regularly wiping down the bins and belt at security checkpoints, adding additional cleaning and disinfecting of public restrooms and high-touch areas, minimizing the number of patrons permitted in elevators, courtrooms, and court offices, and expanding access to legal information, materials, and forms, both online and telephonically.

The courthouse is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding federal and county holidays.

Media may continue to request camera coverage of hearings by visiting the Court’s media webpage and submitting a camera request.

If you have concerns or questions, please email Community Relations.

The Court appreciates your patience as it strives to continue to provide the timely, fair, and efficient administration of justice under law during this health crisis.
