The Superior Court in Pima County is requesting comments regarding applicants for a Commissioner vacancy on its bench. The position became available upon the retirement of the Hon. Dean Christoffel.
The Nominating Committee reviewed twelve applications for the commissioner position and selected the following five individuals to interview:
· Chi (Olson), Bunkye, Esq.
· Curtiss, Rebecca S., Esq.
· Harris, M. June, Esq.
· Knauer, Nicholas A., Esq.
· Koltunovich, Derek, Esq.
Interviews will take place on August 6, 2021, at the Courts’ Training Center, located at 2225 S. Ajo Way in Tucson.
The public is invited to comment regarding the applicants listed. Comments shall be in writing to the committee or verbally to a committee member. Anonymous comments will not be considered. Comments shall be offered no later than August 4, 2021, by 4:00 p.m.

Grady Scott, Grace Temple Baptist Church; and Patty Dean, Public Member.
Following the interviews, the committee will recommend the finalists to Superior Court Presiding Judge Jeffrey T. Bergin, and Juvenile Court Presiding Judge Peter W. Hochuli, who will make the appointment.
