On September 15, 2025, the Court’s Nominating Committee for Commissioners/Judges Pro Tem interviewed seven applicants to fill two current vacancies on the Pima County Superior Court bench, as well as to establish a pool for potential future commissioner openings.
The following candidates have been recommended to Superior Court Presiding Judge Danelle Liwski and Juvenile Court Presiding Judge Michael J. Butler for final consideration:

Hon. Soo Conatser
Maricella Meza, Esq.

Judges Liwski and Butler will conduct final interviews on September 23, 2025, and the Court will announce the selections shortly thereafter.
