A review of the paperwork can often help to locate pertinent information such as hearing date and location. If the paperwork is not available, a search can be made by case number or name. Often, the case is in another jurisdiction such as Justice Court, City Court, Bankruptcy Court, or Federal Court. Some Justice Court matters are held in Superior Court for security reasons.Some Superior Court matters (1:00 pm video Arraignments and/or Initial Appearances) are held in Justice Court.
Generally, Superior Court matters are:
Divorces (Family Law)
Wills, Trusts, Guardianships, Conservatorships & Mental Health (Probate)
Disputes over $10,000 (Civil)
Felony Criminal (Criminal)
If you received a citation, you will need to call either Tucson City Court, (520) 791-4216, or Pima County Justice Court, (520) 740-3171, depending on what agency issued the citation. Superior Court would only handle the matter if it is appealed from the lower court.
