Public Comments Welcomed for Six Hearing Officer Applicants

 

Public Comments Sought on Candidates for Hearing Officer Vacancy

The Superior Court in Pima County invites public comments no later than noon on Tuesday, July 18, regarding applicants for a Hearing Officer vacancy. The position will become available due to Hon. Lee Ann Roads forthcoming retirement.

Hearing Officers work as a judicial officer for the Superior Court, interpreting and applying local and state laws during various family law, civil, and criminal court proceedings.

Eight applications were reviewed by the court’s Hearing Officer Selection Committee, and the following six attorneys will be interviewed on July 24, between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m., in conference room 920 of the Superior Court building.

The court invites your feedback in writing or orally to a committee member. Anonymous comments will not be considered. Comments must be received no later than noon on July 18, 2023.

The Committee will recommend finalists to Superior Court Presiding Judge Jeffrey T. Bergin. Judge Bergin will make the appointment following his interviews with the final candidates on August 1, 2023.
