On April 15, 2024, the court’s Commissioner Hiring Committee interviewed seven applicants for Pima County Superior Court’s vacant commissioner positions. The positions are expected to become open upon retirements of Hon. Lori B. Jones and Hon. Jack Assini.
The following candidates have been recommended to incoming Superior Court Presiding Judge Danelle Liwski and Juvenile Court Presiding Judge Michael J. Butler for final consideration:

McCray, Matthew
Walton, Dawn
Zapata, Antonio

Judges Liwski and Butler will conduct final interviews on April 24, 2024, and the selection of the new commissioners will be announced shortly thereafter.
