Superior Court seeking comments on Hearing Officer candidates

 

Public Comment Sought on Candidates for Superior Court Hearing Officer Position by November 15, 2021

The Superior Court in Pima County is requesting comments regarding applicants for a new Hearing Officer position which will address the expanding need of its family law bench.

The Nominating Committee reviewed five applications and will, on Friday, November 19, 2021, interview the following candidates at the Pima County Superior Courthouse, located at 110 W. Congress in Tucson.

•             Aaron, Michael,
•             Emerson, Jordan E., Esq.
•             Flynn, Joey A., Esq.
•             Harris, M. June, Esq.
•             Pones, Terri L., Esq.

The Court invites comments regarding the applicants, either in writing or verbally, to a committee member. Anonymous comments will not be considered. Comments shall be offered no later than Monday, November 15, 2021, at 3:30 p.m.

You may direct verbal comments to Nominating Committee members: Hon. Danelle Liwski, Chair; Hon. Greg Sakall; Hon. Kellie L. Johnson; Hon. Renee Bennett; Joi Hollis, PhD.; Kristin Fitzharris, Esq.; Marissa Sites, Esq.; Stefan Niemiec, Esq.; and public members Pastor D. Grady Scott and Joe Peterson.

Following the interviews, the Committee will recommend the finalists to Pima County Presiding Judge Jeffrey T. Bergin, who will make the appointment.
