JUVENILE JUSTICE COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE

WHO WE ARE

The Juvenile Justice Community Collaborative was born of the ongoing Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) efforts.

The collaborative provides a forum for youth and families serving community partners and juvenile justice-related agencies to gather together and identify opportunities to achieve shared goals.

MEETINGS

The Collaborative meets quarterly, on the fourth Friday of the month. If you are interested in attending and/or would like additional information, please contact Juvenile Justice System Improvement and Quality Assurance Manager Rebecca Manoleas at [email protected].

JDAI OVERVIEW

The Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) is an ongoing data-driven juvenile justice system improvement effort. JDAI has been replicated in over 300 jurisdictions around the country in the past two decades.

Pima County Juvenile Court adopted JDAI in 2004 and since then has demonstrated it is possible to reduce the detention population while keeping the community safe, restoring victims, and holding youth accountable.

To learn more about how the Pima County Juvenile Court has worked collaboratively with system and community partners to reduce racial and ethnic disparities, improve court practices, develop alternatives to detention, and significantly reduce the detention population in support of the court’s mission, please contact Juvenile Justice System Improvement and Quality Assurance Manager Rebecca Manoleas at [email protected].
