As of June 30, 2022, ICWA Court now oversees 165 active cases impacting 373 children from 29 tribes. The team focuses on placing out-of-home ICWA children with family or tribal families. ICWA Court's inclusive and collaborative approach has also simplified court processes and procedures, for example, setting aside Preliminary Protective Hearing blocks for ICWA cases, making it easier for tribes to appear and intervene at the first hearing.
